If there’s one thing I will never understand, it’s the front covers of textbooks.
“Gentleman, how can we best create a cover that displays the core concepts of chemistry and summarizes the contents of the subject?”
“Let’s put a guy with a surfboard on it.”
“Fucking brilliant, Jim.”

About You
Name: Rachel.
Age: 17.
Height: 5’3
About The Father
Name: Matthew.
Age: 18
Height: 5’4 (we are a teeny couple)
Are you still together: Yes :)
About Your Pregnancy
Is this your first pregnancy: Yes
When did you find out you were pregnant: 3rd of February
Was it planned: Nope :’)
What was your first reaction: I basically freaked the fuck out, I was shaking and talking a million miles a minute about how I was going to hide until the baby was born then send it down the river like Moses’ mum did! I was very shocked!
Who was with you when you found out: No one.
Who was the first person you told: Matt.
How did your parents react: My mum was very calm, my dads first words were “you are fucking joking me” and we pretty much argued for a few weeks but he’s coming around to it now I think.
How far along are you: 17 weeks and 4 days.
What was your first symptom: Backache and a late period.
What is your due date: October 15th :)
Do you know the sex of the baby: Not yet, find out in 18 days!
Have you picked out names: For a boy, yes, still stuck between a few for a girl though.
If so, what are they: Alfie for a boy and either Olivia or Eve/Eva/Evie for a girl.
How much weight have you gained: just over half a stone.
Do you have stretch marks: Nope.
Have you felt the baby move: Yes, my little monster is having a party in there without its mama!.
Have you heard the heartbeat:Only once for about 30 seconds - was very disappointed with the first scan.
About the Birth
Will you keep the baby: Yes!
Home or hospital birth: Hospital.
Natural or medicated birth: At the hospital I plan to go to, the most you can have is either gas and air or pethadine, so I won’t be having an epidural and I wouldn’t want one anyway.
Who will be in the delivery room with you: Matt and possibly my mum.
Will you breastfeed: I’m not sure yet - I want to, just not sure I’d be able to stick it out.
Do you think you’ll need a c-section: I hope not, but if it’s what’s best for the baby then I’d have one.
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time: I would assume so.
What’s the first thing you might say to him/her: Why did you put me in so much pain?!
Would you let someone videotape the birth: HELL NO. I wouldn’t mind pictures of me contracting or whatever but to film a little person shooting out of my foof is not something that will happen.
Are you excited about the birth, or scared?: I’m not really sure.
